All the Things (or Some)

Happy National Pasta Day! National Pasta Day was over a week ago when I started to post.  Clearly, something happened to distract me.  Usually, if it's been a long time since I last blogged, it's because I have too many design things to talk about.  My brain gets on pretty thing overload and then gives me the old SBBOD (Spinning Beach Ball of Death).

I'm going to blame Mark D. Sikes and all of the fabulous beautiful things he's been doing lately for my current blue and white/beautiful things sensation overload.  The guy is amazing and unstoppable (never stop, Mark, never stop).   His house was just featured on One Kings Lane.

The same One Kings Lane that is also selling wrapping paper in his Mark Sikes for Schumacher fabric patterns.

Of course, I bought some and will be wrapping empty boxes to put under the tree year after year.  Oh ya, I've totally skipped over Halloween.  I have nothing to offer in that department.

Ok, I've completely veered off track for this post.  I got way too excited about my wrapping paper!

I've been a busy crazy nesting bee the past few weeks.  I somehow turned painting the nursery into four paint projects leaving my very kind husband slightly exhausted by me (but I'm hoping happy with the direction it's going).

We started with the nursery, which required wallpaper removal.  Since our sitting room off our master had some wallpaper that was peeling off we decided to go ahead and have that removed as well, which in turn led to painting our bedroom and sitting room.

I finally got to use Farrow & Ball Pale Powder and it did not disappoint.  I want to paint everything Pale Powder.  I want to wash my hair with it and paint my children in Pale Powder.

I have not put my room back together yet so I will show you someone else's room in this gorgeous color.  If you want a sneak peak, follow me on Instagram and check out my Instagram Story.  I promise I will bring you updates on here (hopefully in the near future!)

Ok fine, here's a tiny peek with the chintz I'm using on the club chair.

Of course my iPhone isn't doing it justice.

Oy vey, I've run out of time.  I'll be back with more sharing tomorrow (and probably more Mark Sikes fawning ;))

  1. Above the half paneling in my dining room (painted Ben Moore White Dove), I chose FB's Cooking Apple Green and used Pale Powder for the ceiling. I loved the combo so much that we painted our powder room in the same shades. Also did Pale Powder in a high gloss on the ceiling of my exterior porch. It's heavenly.

(i.e. Your Comment: what's up with the Biebs and Selena Gomez? My Reply: I don't know but it's keeping me up at night. He's so cryptic on Instagram, it's hard to really know)
