Jessica Simpson's Shabby Chic Home For Sale

I know, I know.  Many of y'all are not on the shabby chic or Jessica Simpson train.  But I'm a lover, not a hater and I once had a very special place in my heart for Rachel Ashwell in all her girly, floral slipcovered, distressed, crystal chandelier glory.  I also once ran ten blocks in heels at 6 a.m. to see Jessica Simpson perform on GMA in Bryant Park, and then proceeded to cry when she sang Angels, soo yea, that's special.  Needless to say I'm still a big fan of both ladies.

Jess, we're friends in my head, recently put her Beverly Hills home on the market.  She bought Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's home that was featured in Architectural Digest, you know the one designed by my Bravo buddy Martyn Lawrence-Bullard.  It is such a small world with these friends of mine.

Anyway, I find her home to be adorable.  Rachel Ashwell did the interior design and I love it.  I think I will always love slipcovers, flowers, crystal and twinkle light.  I wish I could see what it looked like when it's not stripped down for listing-purposes.  You know there were tons of pictures of Jess all over some of those bare walls ;)

Love the twinkle lights!

P.S. remember like 10 years ago when Pamela Anderson showed off her shabby chic beach house in Malibu on MTV Cribs? I remember thinking it was soo cool.

  1. Just give me a minute to start packing my boxes! That's beautiful and I wouldn't consider it shabby at all.

  2. Gotta say, not my style at all, but I used to be OBSESSED with shabby chic and Rachel Ashwell. I lived for her Style Network show and I remember watching the episode where she decorated J. Lo's restaurant like a million times.

That said, I could deal with the shabby chic decor in exchange for that kitchen and that pool!!

PS...I still hope Nick and Jess will get back together someday. A girl can dream right!?!

  4. I remember that Cribs episodes...HAHAHA! It was a great beach house! Also, I love Jess's home and the mental image of you running in your heels (I am thinking pink, yellow, or red) to see her perform. I cry during Angels, too.....and Jesus Takes the Wheel by Carrie.

  5. Love everything about the exterior - that lap pool!!!

But something must be done about the butcher block on the island that is messing up an otherwise gorgeous kitchen!

I love JS, she is a beautiful woman and I found her totally charming 10+ years ago when she was on her reality show as Mrs. Nick Lachey.

  6. What a beautiful home!! I too was once a huge fan of Shabby Chic… I decked out my bachelorette pad (with the original 1950s pink kitchen) in head to toe Shabby Chic circa 2004, and I absolutely loved it. It was such fun at Christmas time, with my bubble gum pink Christmas tree and vintage pink ornaments! But styles and my taste have changed (fortunately for my husband!) and now I would think I’d died and gone to heaven to live in the Osbourne’s home… it is exquisite!!

    XOXO,
    The Glam Pad

  7. Wow...gotta say the girls got taste (at least in homes). It is absolutely gorgeous, so warm and inviting and elegant. I feel badly for the bad press she got, hope they are laying off now, give her a break. Poor woman just wants to be a mama! Thank you for sharing!

  11. This is possibly the most beautiful house I have ever seen. The intricate flora all over is heavenly. However, I do think there is far too much white inside the home, but that can be changed easily. I really can not get over the lit up path in the last picture. It's like having fireflies lighting your way. I want that for my home someday!
