Check Ya Later! Have a Lovely Weekend/Week!

Hello friends! I'm taking a little break from my blog for Spring Break 2013 Panama City MTV Party Times.  Just kidding.  I did that in 2000.  Now I'm way more ma-tour and appreciate things like nice accommodations and people wearing more clothes and less cologne.  But for real, I am taking a little family vacay to Palm Springs (Slim Aarons-style), away from the cold and stresses of trying to find something fun to do when it's snowy outside.  I may check in if I'm so inspired and I think it's worth your time (I mean, I know we all love seeing my vacation photos).

In the meantime, I have a huge favor to ask y'all.

My sweet Kip is a candidate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man and Woman of the Year campaign.  I'm asking y'all to visit his page and make a donation to help in the fight against blood cancer.  We're also looking for sponsors and donations for the auction, so if you are interested in helping in that respect please contact me and we can set something up.  Any little bit will help and ultimately it's for a really great cause.  I'll have a link on the side of this page for the remainder of the campaign so if you have a couple extra dollar bills you can spare, well we'd surely appreciate it!

Follow this link to make a donation!

Here are some more linkies I love:

Great words (and what Kip says he loves best about me)

  1. You "gotta do your spring break....."

Safe travels and I wish you LOTS of WELL DESERVED R&R!

  2. How in the world did my kids breakdancing video go viral? lol...that is hysterical!Enjoy Palm Springs...sounds really good right about now, its a beautiful place! Will check out all the links including must be so proud...awwwwwhhhhhhh! Safe traels sweetpea:)

  3. Kudos to Kip for his work in the fight against Leukemia! I joined a bone marrow donor program through my church well over a decade ago, and about five years ago I received a call (despite several moves and phone number changes) that I was a potential match for a 40 year-old English woman. The odds are 1 in 20,000 to 1 in a 100,000 in identifying an unrelated compatible marrow donor, so I was overjoyed about the possibility of being able to save a life. I went in for further blood tests, but I was never called back. I cannot tell you how many times I have thought about that woman over the years and wondered what happened. I try to encourage everyone I know to join the National Marrow Donor Program Chances of finding a match are even more slim for minority populations, so it is important to spread the word. I just made a small donation via Kip’s page… every bit helps!!

Have fun on your vacay! Palm Springs is definitely on my bucket list… Can’t wait for pics!!
