Pink and Red

Morning y'all! In case you missed it, I dramatically announced my color of the year pick for 2013, Pale Blush.  It's purely for selfish reasons that I make this declaration, but it sounds like y'all are with me.  In the comments, Zanetastyle and I briefly chatted about pale blush and red and how it's basically the only way to do red.  Don't get me wrong, if you have red in your house, I don't judge.  I actually love it in other people's homes because they probably do it better than I can, I'm just not a big red person as I've said before.  (You'll laugh when you see Edward's big boy room because it actually has a lot of red so I'm basically a big fat liar).

So here's a few pink and red images that I lurve.

Stephen Schubel

Bailey McCarthy

Miles Redd

Obvi, this is also very appropriate for Valentine's Day (remember when Jessica Simpson called it Valentime's Day on Newlyweds?)

  1. Wow! You found the image with red chair and I am the lier here as it was not Martha Stewart ... What an awful memory I have. And Remembering your son's beautiful room blue but NO red... Clearly a selective memory... Have to revisit it... Just so you know .... Did my best to avoid red in my sons car inspired bedroom but it is just a mystery why it can't be stopped. Luckily just hints of it...have a great day, hugs z

    1. You're not wrong. His nursery is blue and white and gray, but we're working on his big boy room and there's some red accents in there. We're still in the gathering phase but I'll definitely reveal when all is done!!

  3. The only red I have in my home is in some paisley pillows. I have nothing against red, but apparently I am not drawn to it. Diana Vreeland did it well though. Do you remember when Jessica Simpson thought Chicken of the Sea was chicken?

  5. These images are divine, and I think there is something very romantic and unexpected about combining pink and red in the home. It is like celebrating Valentine’s day every day! XOXO, The Glam Pad

  6. Pink and Red, one of my favorite color combos!!! the red keeps the pink from being too cloying, don't you think?

(i.e. Your Comment: what's up with the Biebs and Selena Gomez? My Reply: I don't know but it's keeping me up at night. He's so cryptic on Instagram, it's hard to really know)
