Snow!

First snow today! I think it might be a good idea to put on a fire, watch my favorite Christmas movie White Christmasand bake some Christmas cookies.  If I ever have a ski house I want it to look like the Columbia Inn from White Christmas. Hooked on Houses did a wonderful post on it last year.  You should check it out here! (I also want to ride on a train like they did and sing about snow with Bing Crosby.  Oh, and have a tiny waist like Vera Ellen ... just for one day)

Be back later with some more blue and white gift ideas (as soon as the little munchkin goes to sleep).

Have a lovely morning!

  4. Love that old movie! We still have not had snow here yet. Unbelievable for us-usually we are snowed in by now. I looked out this morning and we have ice on the Bay for the first time. It is usually frozen solid all along the shore in November. Weird weather.

Enjoy your day...sit and sip and watch a movie~ xo Diana

  6. Your idea of cozying up to the fire and watching "White Christmas" sounds like the perfect plan. It's even cold here in Dallas.

I have an interesting side note about Vera Ellen, by the way. If you'll notice in the movie, she only wears clothes that have a high neck line. The costume designer felt that she was so extremely thin that her neck made her look unattractive, so he covered it up. Although I'm sure that no one had ever heard of anorexia, apparently that's what she had. Her tiny waist emphasizes this. So sad…..

  9. I just love all those old movies. They just don't make them like that any more. I use to watch them with my Mom. I remember the Topper movies. I don't know if the show them any more, but they were so good.
