Happy National Tartan Day!

Today is National Tartan Day and in honor of my husband's Scottish heritage, I created a mood board using one of the many Robertson tartans.  I actually would love to do my son's big boy room in the Robertson tartan.  I would keep the room light with bright white, high-gloss walls and built-in everything, even the beds.  That way he has plenty of floor space to play with numb-chucks or practice break-dancing or whatever he ends up being interested in (I can already tell he's going to be a very physical child).  I love the idea of built-in bunk beds.  They look so cozy and would be perfect for slumber parties!

  1. Love your mood board and Happy Tartan day..who knew! I love a tartan plaid.....and when paired with other less serious touches, its quite great looking.....love that painting above do you know whose it is?

  2. Thank you for your sweet comments! The painting above is by Susie Pryor. I love her work. I did blog post a while ago on her here: http://belclairehouse.blogspot.com/2011/02/favorite-artist-susie-pryor.html
