Favorite Artist: Susie Pryor

Over the years I have become familiar with the work of Atlanta-based artist Susie Pryor, thanks to The Suze and her unsubtle obsession.  Our family friend has many of her pieces in her Sea Island home over which my mom constantly swoons.  Specializing in slightly abstract children at play (as well as still life and coastal scenes), any mother can look at her work and imagine that child is her own.  She captures the photos I hope to take of my child someday, and at the same time, conjures up the dream-like memories of my own childhood.  I love her use of color as well.  Her paintings would fit right into my home (and The Suze's).

Susie Pryor is also the owner of Pryor Fine Art in Atlanta. You can find more of her work here and here.

  1. I do love her! But I wouldn't buy. If she had little brunette girls I would gladly purchase.

  2. Love the innocence of her work. Such a blessing.

(i.e. Your Comment: what's up with the Biebs and Selena Gomez? My Reply: I don't know but it's keeping me up at night. He's so cryptic on Instagram, it's hard to really know)
